Amy Nguyen

Overview
Amy has dedicated her career to public service. Right out of law school, she went abroad to provide support to Vietnamese refugees and human rights defenders as the Congressional liaison, human rights advocate, and refugee attorney for an international human rights organization focusing on resettling stateless Vietnamese refugees in Thailand, Cambodia and the Philippines. After three years abroad, Amy returned to San Jose and served as the Development Director at the Asian Law Alliance to support low-income community members get access to legal services. She continues to be actively involved in the community as a Board Member of the Vietnamese American Roundtable, providing advocacy, education, and outreach to communities in need. Amy received her J.D. from Santa Clara Law, M.A. in Economics at the University of South Carolina, B.A. in Ethnic Studies and B.A. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.
